Consoles and Candy

I started playing Dead Rising shortly after my “issues” with Microsoft “customer service” (Or lack thereof) and I learned an interesting fact.
I love zombie killing.

I’ve been playing the game after work with a colleague taking it in turns to try and get achievements and just find new and interesting ways to kill the undead, we’ve barely unlocked the story since we’ve been so busy chasing new and interesting ways to make mince meat out of the reanimated corpses.

I also got Dead or Alive Xtreme 2, which you may notice they’ve taken “beach volleyball” out of the title, as you don’t need to play volleyball anymore to get your perv on.  ’nuff said.

All in all the “Live Marketplace” on the Xbox 360 is good, lots of free demos, some have shown me how crap a game is before I bought it (Need for Speed Carbon, I liked underground, carbon is crap) and others made me buy games I hadn’t considered before (Dead Rising, the demo is FUN) .  I’ve also paid for some of the older “arcade games” like Uno (Thanks Garion for suggesting it) and Doom (mmmm original sin).

Icannt.org, Kooby and Project Backrub

Icannt is having their first birthday, I just built a server destined for their use, so I thought it might be a good idea to mention that here, incase someone actually follows the link from the icannt site.

FYI, Project Backrub was originally the name for what Google became.  So the premise of linking back to someone who links to you is why I put this here.

Thank you for calling Xbox Live Customer Care

I just bought a Xbox 360 (thanks to a buggered bluetooth headset, long story) and I break my hiatus on posting for this short annoucement.

Xbox Live Customer Care have no access to their own systems.

I registered my name “Koshatul” back in the original xbox live, played 2 games of Halo and gave up, now because that account has been “cancelled” I can no longer use the name Koshatul.

Microsoft own it now.

I was politely told to “use a new name, that one is cancelled” repeatedly, the poor lass having no access to anything to actually change the status or give my my handle back in anyway.

I’m sure the “CaptCool” ’s out there don’t care that CaptCool001020 is taken, but for me, my name is unique, it’s mine, and now i’ve been told to “use a new name”

Screw you Microsoft.

I’m packing this 360 up and taking it back.

EDIT: After I calmed down I didn’t pack it up, I registered one of my old old crappy handles and started playing some of the arcade games etc.  I’ve turned it off for now and bought a Wii until I can figure out some way around the stupidity at Microsofts Xbox Live Support
